Sean O'Curneen is Spanish-Irish. He was brought up in Spain, where he attended British primary and secondary schools in Madrid. He studied a first degree in astrophysics at University College London, and completed a masters degree in journalism at Université Aix-Marseille. Sean worked as news presenter at Radio France International (RFI) in Paris and reported for Cadena COPE, Cadena SER and CBS News of USA. From 1996 to 1999 Sean worked in London for BBC Television before joining the Greater London Authority under the Mayor of London from 2000-2004. Meantime, in 2002, he obtained a masters degree with Distinction in European Politics from Birkbeck College (University of London). He currently works at the Committee of the Regions of the European Union and is based in Brussels. Sean speaks English, Spanish and French. He is co-author of Express Yourself Better in English Dictionary of Irregular Verbs with Quotations. |

Born and educated in Ireland, Joseph travelled, studied, and worked in a number of countries, including the US, Japan, Germany, and Spain. He graduated from the Control Data Institute of Washington D.C., completed studies of advanced Spanish with the University of Maryland and worked as a Systems Analyst for the Computer Sciences Corporation.
His lifelong interest in the Spanish language, together with his extensive background in English language and literature, led him to establish Kilkenny English Centres in Madrid which has provided excellence in the teaching of the English language to thousands of students. He is founder member and Vice-President of the Association of Small Language Academies. He is a member of the Society of Authors in the United Kingdom and a member of the Dictionary Society in the United States. He speaks English and Spanish. Joseph is co-author of: Express Yourself Better in English Dictionary of Irregular Verbs with Quotations. |
